The Applegate Valley is one of Oregon’s natural climate treasures. It is home to many working organic farms and has a growing reputation as one of the finest herb producing areas in the world. The “Mediterranean” like environment—long damp mild spring, an intense and heat filled summer, a lingering warm and slowly cooling fall, and a short but thoroughly wet and cold winter that fills the reservoirs, nourishes the land and kills the bugs—is perfect for producing an extremely broad variety of medicinal herbs.

The Applegate River that feeds our irrigation comes from the pristine snowmelt of the Marble Mountains of Southwest Oregon. There are no large polluting towns nearby and the isolated location of the farm along the river provides a buffer zone against any chemical spraying. Our generous 40-50 inches of rain in the winter and spring, and the consistent warmth through summer and early fall, allows our plants to grow into the fullest maturity for maximum potency.

Over 100 of our USDA, and Oregon Tilth certified organic products are grown right here on our farm. This means that our herbs may cost a little more; but we promise that you will not find better herbs anywhere. Many brokers call on us because we have developed relationships with suppliers over many years that have given us the know-how and experience to purchase the highest quality products from other certified, reputable growers and suppliers from all over the world. We can assist you in planning and scheduling botanical production to fit with your manufacturing or retailing needs. Our farm is one of the foremost herb farms in the world for developing production systems for plants that have not been previously cultivated. We have had hundreds of contract growing clients over the years and have the experience to work with you. In addition, because we are a grower, we can supply you direct from the farm so that you will not need to go through a broker. Our extensive milling experience can assure you that you will receive just the perfect cut or powder from your product or ours.
